Steve Coulson was an Arctic terrestrial ecology currently working at the University Centre in Svalbard (UNIS) in Longyearbyen, Svalbard for 10 years. He is now working at the Swedish Species Information Centre (ArtDatabanken) at the Swedish University of Agriculture (SLU) as a project manager for Artportalen (Swedish Species Observation System) and can be contacted at stephen.coulson<at> Coulson has over 20 years of experience of working in Svalbard concentrating on the invertebrate fauna of the archipelago. Research interests focus on biogeography, dispersal, colonisation and ecosystem development, overwintering strategies (physiological and behavioural), invertebrate population dynamics and plant / insect interactions.
