Steve Coulson is an Arctic terrestrial ecology currently working at the University Centre in Svalbard (UNIS) in Longyearbyen, Svalbard. Coulson has over 20 years of experience of working in Svalbard concentrating on the invertebrate fauna of the archipelago. Research interests focus on biogeography, dispersal, colonisation and ecosystem development, overwintering strategies (physiological and behavioural), invertebrate population dynamics and plant / insect interactions.
